Sunderland 2-1 Chelsea – Capital One Cup – 17th December 2013
A last-gasp extra-time winner from Ki Sung-Yueng gave Sunderland a dramatic and much-needed win against Chelsea on Tuesday night. The lanky Swansea-loanee popped up at the death to score the winner after the Black Cats had looked the btter side in extra-time. Jose Mourinho’s men had looked the better side in normal time, but could only call on a Lee Cattermole own-goal to give them the lead. However, with just two minutes left, another loanee, Fabio Borini, equalised to send the game into an additional 30 minutes. What a timely boost for Gus Poyet and co.
