Chelsea 2-0 Galatasaray – Champions League Last 16 2nd Leg (Agg: 3-1) – 18th March 2014

Soccer - UEFA Champions League - Round of 16 - Second Leg - Chelsea v Galatasaray - Stamford Bridge

Didier Drogba failed to inflict any damage on his former club at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday night, with the striker’s Galatasaray well beaten by the home side.

The tie was pretty much over by half-time, after goals from Samuel Eto’o (on four minutes) and Gary Cahill put the Blues 2-0 up at the break. In the second period, Jose Mourinho’s men took their foot off the gas somewhat but the visitors were unable to really threaten Petr Cech’s goal.  Chelsea move into the last eight with both the Champions League and Premier League still very much in their sights.
