A second-half John Terry own-goal gave Crystal Palace a well-deserved win at Selhurst Park on Saturday. Although the Eagles’ goal came courtesy of a JT error, the south Londoners were the better side throughout, not letting the Blues settle and providing a considerable goal-threat themselves throughout.

Chelsea struggled to find their feet throughout the 90 minutes, and even the half-time introduction of Oscar for fellow-countryman David Luiz couldn’t kickstart the visitors. The results sees the Eagles move five points clear of danger while Chelsea are just a point ahead of Liverpool, having played  game more.

Fantastic result. A victory for the game itself. If Chavski’s players don’t have the right mentality then go and buy some who do. Every goal Chavski concede is to be applauded, but a Terry o.g. costing them the league, that’s pure gravy.
