Despite seeing Swansea go down to 10 men after just 16 minutes, Chelsea struggled to unlock the hosts defence at the Liberty Stadium on Sunday, only for Demba Ba to finally nab that all important goal in the second-half.

Chico Flores was the man sent off for the Swans early on, after picking up two booking within the space of two minutes. However, Garry Monk’s charges stood firm as the Blues looked for a win which would move them to within two points of leaders Liverpool. The goal did come eventually, but not until the second-half, after Ba latched onto a Nemanja Matic pass before firing past Michel Vorm. That goal sees Chelsea stay well in the title hunt while Swansea are now just three points clear of danger.

  1. Neil says:

Hard to believe these miserable, disfunctional prima-donnas are in the same league as Liverpool.
