Football GIF: Ramires Swings Vicious Elbow Into Seb Larsson’s Face

By Chris Wright

Okay, so it’s not an elbow in the truest sense, but Ramires was unarguably an extremely lucky, lucky boy as he managed to avoid any punishment for openly clouting Sunderland’s Seb Larsson in the face during Chelsea’s 1-2 defeat at Stamford Bridge this evening.

Larsson had previously nibbled at Ramires’ heel as they ran side-by-side, but the Brazilian’s violent reaction was, quite frankly, despicable – though it went completely unseen by referee Mike Dean…

Ramires wasn’t the only one in the Blues camp to get snarky during the game, with Jose Mourinho having to manhandle his assistant, Rui Faria, before the Chelsea coach was sent down the tunnel for squaring up to Dean over Sunderland’s debatable penalty…

More photos, highlights and reaction as and when.

    Typical chavsea
For the sake of football, Liverpool better win it now!

Jeez! Sunderland sure are party poopers! Rui Faria went to the match without taking his medication too! Hats off to the Black Cats for bringing it when they need to. Next time, don’t wait until April to start playing.

  3. IHaveAStalker says:

Even Chelsea fans must hate Chelsea by now.

  4. rob says:

I blame Chris Foy, if he hadn’t made some decisions against Chelsea in the Villa game then Ramires wouldn’t have been so upset.

It’s undoubtedly turdish behaviour from Ramires, but why does an arm to the face propel Larsson into the air?

  6. Paul Scholes says:

Might have been called, had Laarson not flown off of his feet like he was hit by a car going 50

I really, really don’t understand the embellishment flop syndrome. I played a ton of soccer growing up. I also played ice hockey and lacrosse. In those two sports, you try to hide it when you’ve been hit. And there are penalties in those games. I never, ever dove in soccer, always trying to act tough, even when blasted or something.

Why do guys dive and embellish? I really don’t get it.

I’ve never, ever considered embellishing a hit, punch, tackle, etc.

Ron, Although I agree with you on your statement here. We shouldn’t be talking about the diving here. We should be talking about the ridiculous things Chelski are doing. Why is it that this fool Mourinho always gets away with spoiling our beautiful game. I hope Chelski will get raped by Atleti this week.
