A 23-year-old shop assistant has apparently been suspended by her employers after calling John Terry a “pig”.
According to The Sun, Elisha Ram, who worked at Bentall’s swanky department store in Kingston-upon-Thames, was working behind the clothes counter and greeted Terry when he walked in.
As Terry walked away, Elisha then turned to her colleagues and said, “He’s quite good looking in real life – but he’s a pig” in reference to you-know-what.
Elisha’s colleagues then frantically began telling her to be quiet – for good reason, as it turns out.
“They were like, ‘Sssh sssh sssh,’ and I said, ‘What? Why?’ And his wife was right there,” Elisha told the tabloid.
Sadly, the comment was indeed overheard by Terry’s wife Toni. The Chelsea defender then asked to see a manager as Elisha burst into tears and apologised.
“She looked right at me and then she looked away. I didn’t even know she was there — I didn’t know what she looked like in the first place. My heart dropped and I felt so bad.”
“He was coming towards me and said, ‘I don’t appreciate you calling me a pig in front of my wife,'” continued Elisha.
“I said, ‘Oh my God,’ and I turned into a little child. I said I was really, really sorry.”
“Then I just snapped, got defensive and retaliated, saying, ‘You’re a disgrace.'”
Amazingly enough, Miss Ram’s parting shot didn’t help alleviate the situation as she was then suspended from her job at Bentall’s All Saints concession, pending an investigation into her conduct.
A written apology was also then sent to Terry on behalf of everyone at the store.
Make of that what thou will.
