Chelsea’s Diego Costa Scores Magnificent Slalom Goal Against Fenerbahce, Almost Chopped In Half By Bruno Alves’ Horror Tackle (Videos)

By Chris Wright

Feel free to disagree, but we reckon there were definite shades of “John Barnes vs Brazil, 1984” about Chelsea striker Diego Costa’s magnificent bob-and-weave slalom goal against Fenerbahce on Friday evening…

Nicely done that man.

Alas, it was a day of mixed fortunes for Costa who, shortly after scoring his wonderful solo goal, was almost torn asunder by a brutal tackle from veteran megabastard Bruno Alves…

Nasty, nasty, nasty – and in a pre-season charity match too.
