Chelsea moved a step closer to their inevitable Premier League title victory after a hard-fought win away at Leicester.

While the Blues were thinking of the title, hosts Leicester had their minds firmly set on putting even more distance between themselves and the relegation zone. And it was the Foxes who started well, with Paul Konchesky and Marc Albrighton both going close.

However, the goal did eventually come for the hosts, when Albrighton fired home from a Jamie Vardy cut-back.

Shortly after the break, that old warhorse Didier Drogba put the Blues level after good work from Branislav Ivanovic.

Chelsea then took the lead on 79 minutes when captain John Terry bundled home from close-range, with the centre-half equalling David Unsworth’s record of 38 Premier League goals by a defender.

Soon after, the Blues wrapped up the three points, courtesy of a superb strike from Ramires from a Cesc Fabregas assist.

The win means Jose Mourinho’s men can now win the league at the weekend while Nigel Pearson’s side remain just a point above the relegation zone.
