A furious Gary Cahill may well have Tweeted himself into hot water with the Premier League after the Chelsea man posted video footage of a challenge with Leroy Fer which led to a Swansea goal on Sunday.

The incident came on 62 minutes, with the score at the Liberty Stadium 1-1 (via goals from Diego Costa and Gylfi Sigurdsson). Centre-half Cahill, after receiving a pass from John Terry, was challenged by Fer, who clearly kicked the Chelsea man not once, but twice.

However, referee Andre Marriner somehow ignored the fouls as Fer went on to fire past Thibaut Courtois.

Understandably, Cahill was furious at the decision and took to social media after the game to vent his anger…

The evidence is pretty conclusive. However, Cahill will surely now face a ban from the Premier League for posting the footage. And with Terry looking to have picked up an injury, the stage is set for David Luiz to make his mark in the coming weeks.

As for the game itself, Costa, who could have seen red (where have we heard that before), scored late on to secure a share of the points for the visitors.

Yep Costa should have seen red(again) and his goal shouldn’t have been allowed, his foot hit the defender in the head because they were too high and dangerous

Like it’s the end of the world. A ref mistake. Oh my god.
If he was good he would’t even let the Swansea player get near him.

I don’t remember anyone saying it was the end of the world. But while it’s fair to allow referee’s mistakes, I’d be pretty aggrieved to be not just denied a correct call but denied it in such a smug, knowing way.
