Chelsea gave Dynamo Kiev a paddling in the Europa League on Thursday night by sauntering to a 3-0 home win in the first leg of their last-16 tie.

Pedro opened the scoring before Willian doubled the lead in the 65th minute with a pinpoint freekick, which he expertly tucked into the top corner from 25 yards out.

Should you have just come down with an acute case of deja vu poisoning while watching the game, that’s probably because Willian has scored that *exact* goal before, and against Kiev to boot.

Indeed, when Chelsea welcome the Ukranians to Stamford Bridge in the Champions League in November of 2015, the Brazilian forward scored the winner in a 2-1 victory in nigh-on identical fashion.

The two goals can be seen here: the 2019 version on top, the 2015 version below…

He almost hits the exact square inch of the goal net. In fact, the only major difference is the advertising boards.

Spooky.
