Didier Drogba is a f**king disgrace

The Drog loses it

After Barcelona’s late, late equaliser/winner at the Bridge last night, Didier Drogba was not a happy bunny. As the above video shows, he harrassed the ref, Tom Henning Ovrebo, calling the Norwegian ref’s performance “a fucking disgrace”.
Watch the Drog swear his massive head off below…

Yes, the ref was absolutely terrible, missing a couple of blatant handballs by Barcelona players in the penalty area, but it’s Drogba who is the effing disgrace. He and his club now face a big Uefa fine, with the player bound to pick up a Champions League ban.
Wanna know why so many neutral fans despise Chelsea? It’s because players like Drogba exhibit zero dignity in defeat, instead screaming and whining like a child who didn’t get what he wanted for Christmas. And don’t forget that Barcelona played much of the second half with ten men, after they were the victims of a poord decision by Ovrebo.
John Terry defended Drogba’s actions: “I’m fully behind Didier and the way he reacted,” Terry said. “But the fact is the referee is the one who should face the consequences, not Didier.”
The ref should never be given another CL game, sure, but Drogba can’t act in that way and expect to get away with it. It’s thuggish and inciteful - I expect Ovrebo will get hate mail and death threats now, and simply because of the culture of disrespect in football.
So, Drogba, it’s you who is the disgrace.

Only a matter of time until the Blatter and Platini conspiracy theories come out. I mean i’ve never seen that ref before.

why does he always feel the need to compleatly lose control and overshadow what was a brilliant chelsea performance, the ref was turd and all 4 penalty appeals were very strong plus it was in the heat of the moment but thats no excuse to act like a massive penis, you think terry would be upset about losing the chance to avenge ‘that’ miss last year aswell as lampard and ballack again the ‘nearly man’. He actually played very well last night but like the final last year one moment of petualnce overshadows everything that was good about drogba and chelsea

@ Jack: Yeah, but the Drog did miss that sitter, one-on-one against Valdes. If he’d have buried that (any world-class striker would), then Chelsea would have gone through, no doubt.

  4. Robbie says:

@Ollie I don’t think their is anything wrong with what Drogba done. I was effing and blinding at the TV at all 4~6 penalty appeals.
I’m sure if you interviewed any fan after the game they’d respond the same way as Drogba did. I would off and I’m quite cool headed and laid back. But that referee was disgusting.
Do you suggest that players shouldn’t be allowed to speak their mind? That they shouldnt be allowed to react?

  5. Ollie Irish says:

@ Robbie. I agree generally, but think Drogba overstepped the mark by a long way.
