With just five minutes of France’s clash with hosts Ukraine played at the Donbass Stadium, referee Bjorn Kuipers decided to call a halt to proceedings as a pretty dramatic storm hit the area, leaving the pitch waterlogged and the players in danger of a lightning strike.

Not sure yet if the game will be continued this evening or cancelled until tomorrow.

UPDATE: The game was resumed at 18:00pm. Hurray!
