Having first visited Goodison park seemingly of out the blue in 2007 as the guest of a business associate, Everton’s least likely celebrity fan, Mr Sylvester Stallone, is to grace the stadium once again tonight alongside one of his latest co-stars, Liverpudlian boxer (and Toffees fan) Tony Belew.

The Liverpool Echo were speculating earlier that Bellew’s teased “special friend” was none other than Stallone due to the fact that the pair are currently doing the rounds together to promote their new Rocky spin-off movie, ‘Creed’, in which Sly reprises his role as Balboa to train the grandson of Apollo Creed ahead of a world title fight against Belew’s character, Pretty Boy Porter.

The rumours has since been confirmed, with Everton excitedly announcing that Stallone – clad in the Toffees shirt he brought with him from home – will be delivering a rousing speech via the big screens at Goodison during the half-time interval of tonight’s Premier League game against West Brom…

Oh God, we hope it’s a shot-for-shot remake of the Rocky IV training montage with Duncan Ferguson subbing in for Ivan Drago.

*Fingers crossed*
