Gerard Deulofeu got off the mark for new loan side Milan on Sunday night, with the Everton playmaker scoring a beauty against Fiorentina at the San Siro.

Juraj Kucka opened the scoring 16 minutes, with the Slovakian midfielder heading home from a José Sosa free-kick.

However, Fiorentina drew level soon after, with ex-Blackburn Rovers striker Nikola Kalinić scoring from close ranger after good work from Federico Chiesa.

Then, on 31 minutes, Deulofeu bagged the goal of the game, with the 22 year-old picking up the ball outside the box before curling home a wonderful finish.

Deulofeu’s goal would prove to be the winner for Milan, who stay seventh, one place above Fiorentina.

Ex-Barcelona youngster Deulofeu has shone on occasion for Everton without ever cementing his place in the Toffees’ first eleven.

Ronald Koeman will no doubt be hoping that the talented attacker can rediscover his mojo in Italy before returning to Merseyside at the end of the season. Or at least, he can increase his value before leaving Goodison Park permanently in the summer.
