The draw for the 3rd Round of the FA Cup was made on Monday night, with ball twiddlers-in-chief Ian Wright and Steven Gerrard picking out a rather disappointing set of fixtures.
Holders Manchester United, who beat Crystal Palace in last season’s Wembley final, face high-flying Championship side Reading (managed by ex-Red Devil Jaap Stam) while Premier League champs Leicester City face a tricky top-flight clash away to Everton.
In another all-Premier League tie, Pep Guardiola will get his first taste of the FA Cup at the London Stadium against West Ham United.
Antonio Conte will also experience his first FA Cup game next month, with Premier League leaders Chelsea hosting either Notts County or Peterborough United.
Elsewhere, Arsenal travel to Championship side Preston North End while Liverpool host either Newport County or Plymouth Argyle.
