Snapshot: Grant Holt ‘Farewell’ Tweet Makes For Difficult Reading…Quite Literally
By Chris Wright
Crikey O’Reilly, would you just look at this mess?
Here’s the English translation as best we can fathom:
“I have loved my three years at the club and it SADDENS me to WRITE this but want YOUS to HEAR it from me first #lovedmytime”
Now, we don’t wish to mock the illiterate but…Yeesh-o-rama. He’s not getting much sympathy for it either, as one would probably expect.
In other news, Holt has gone and reaffirmed his desire to leave Carrow Road this summer ‘due to disagreements’. Hmmm. ‘Due to me no get no more moneys’ is probably somewhere closer to the crux.

This should clearly be in the FAIL section.
I’m sure it’s just a couple of typos. And we all know how tricky it can be typing on a phone, especially if you’re in a rush. At least we got a fullstop at the end.
“Yous” isn’t a real word either.
Or maybe the Feel section. Or the Flail section. Or perhaps even the Fool section.
They tried to give him to English lessons, he demanded to leave
What a bell-end.
My inner Grammar/Spelling Nazi is lying in a heap on the floor, crying “Make it stop!”
He don’t seem so bright.
Ooh, he card reads good.
It saddens me to read it.
Giv’ it up the boy done good
Me fail English? That’s unpossible.
I think I just felt carsick after reading that tweet.
He’ll never make the Inglund Team
with english skills like that he should be playing for america… too soon?
“use”, “you” – has he been watching too much Jersey Shore?
Feel bad to slag him off, he could be dyslexic
A 5-year old would be ashamed.
English. I thought you guys spawned the language?
“i have loved my 3 years at the club and it sadness (sic) me to right (sic) this but want use (sic) to here (sic) it from me first.” there we go.
@Ubietz888: Mate, if you’re going to troll you may as well say where you’re from so we can troll you back.
Just sayin’
;)
Not typos, nor predictive text. Just plain ignorance and laziness. Don’t change your day-job Holt.
