Hup-hup-huzzah! Some wonderful for fans of moronic troglodytes getting exactly what they deserve, with the news that the Leeds fan that attacked Sheffield Wednesday ‘keeper Chris Kirkland in his goalmouth when the two sides met on Friday night has been jailed for four months.
21-year old Aaron Cawley has been jailed for 16 weeks, banned for life by Leeds and given a five-year football banning order for his despicable, feral attack on Kirkland, with Leeds themselves saying that the club “feel the sentence could, and should, have been considerably longer.”
Yep, we’d be inclined to agree. ‘Causing a public nuisance’ by disrupting the University boat race: Six months. Straight-arm punching a man to the ground at his place of work: Four.
