San Jose Earthquakes and Columbus Crew churned out a 1-1 draw in the MLS on Sunday but, in the closing minutes of the game, Columbus defender Giancarlo Gonzalez was guilty of a piece of play-acting so shameful that, were there any justice in this world, the game should’ve been outright awarded to San Jose on principle.
After clouting into San Jose striker Chris Wondolowski elbow-first from behind and off the ball, Gonzalez then had the bare-faced temerity to fall to the floor and feign injury when Wondolowski poked him in the chest in retaliation…
That face…
Shameful. Disgusting. He’d never be allowed to play again if we had anything to do with it.
GAH!!!
