The only good jokes we know about cocaine are all one-liners
Hull City manager Steve Bruce, on the morning of Fri 15th May, 2015:
“We need to get a result at Tottenham to keep the fight alive and if we do that then we give ourselves a chance.
“Let’s hope there is another twist.”
Daily Telegraph, on the afternoon of Fri 15th May, 2015:
“Hull midfielder Jake Livermore tests positive for cocaine”
There you go Brucey, it looks like miracles do happen after all! Twists don’t come much more exciting than that.
It’s perhaps the first positive thing Livermore has done in a Hull shirt.
According to the Telegraph’s breaking bulletin, Livermore has tested positive for Colombian sunshine powder and will NOT PLAY FOR HULL AGAIN THIS SEASON.
Yep, all two games of it.
It would appear that Livermore failed a random drug test that was administered after Hull’s 2-0 win over Crystal Palace last month.
The club are yet to release a statement on the matter, but one is expected in the next hour or so.
UPDATE: Still no official word from Hull, but the Daily Mirror are reporting that Livermore has now been, perhaps unsurprisingly, suspended by the club.
