Southampton and Bournemouth played out a disappointing goalless draw at St. Mary’s on Saturday, although the Cherries had a great chance late on only for midfielder Harry Arter to make an utter mess of a penalty.
Arter’s match-winning chance came with 13 minutes of the south coast clash to go, with the Republic of Ireland midfielder stepping up to take a spot-kick after Ryan Bertrand had pulled back Ryan Foster.
However, Arter seemed to slip before striking the ball, which sailed way, way over the bar and into the stratosphere.
Rumour has it Harry Arter’s penalty is still airborne ✈️😳 pic.twitter.com/30nR8Z0zxI

Ouch!
Both sides had chances to win the game, hitting the frame of each other’s goal. However, in the end, the game would end goalless, which sees both sides stay in mid-table.
