Yes, it’s another one of those ‘tabloid paper in insensitivity shocker’ stories, and this time it’s courtesy of the Daily Star. No doubt the story that there may be other footballers suffering from depression is newsworthy, but Jesus do it with a bit of respect and responsibility…

It’s perhaps worth mentioning that the crux of the article is that five footballers have contacted Tony Adams’ Sporting Chance clinic following the death of Gary Speed on Sunday. No-one mentioned ‘the brink’ until the Star got involved.

No one even knows if he was suffering from depression let alone the reason he took his life.

Pointless people speculating on something they have absolutely no idea about.

People should stop buying this trash. The worst part of it is when those gits on SkySports talk about all the ‘interesting’ articles in the papers.

i’d like to roll the paper up and ram it up their asses. then i’d pull it out, covered in shit, and show it to them. and they’d call it intelligent reporting.

BTW There will be a minute of applause at the everton game of the weekend with a bunch of the players from his everton era (yep he played for so long that he can be assigned era leeds, everton, bolton, sheff uid) much more fitting than the maudlin moment of slient.

    …And then you showcase it…
    Dont give them any attention.

  11. Questionable says:

@df mate you must be joking? American tabloids are just as scummy and wretched as the British ones. Gobshites are the same in every country

  12. Jimbo says:
