Amid the deadline day frenzy, Valencia put out an official status update via their Twitter account to keep fans abreast of the situation; alerting them to the departure of Ever Banega (to Newell’s Old Boys) as well as the twin captures of Vinicius Araujo and Philippe Senderos from Cruzeiro and Fulham respectively.
Only problem was, they announced it using a picture of Brede Hangeland…
Can’t help but think it was a bit of subconscious wishful thinking on Los Che’s part.
