Fulham 0-1 Sheffield United (AET) – FA Cup Fourth Round Replay – 4th February 2014

Soccer - FA Cup - Fourth Round Replay - Fulham v Sheffield United - Craven Cottage

Poor old Rene Meulensteen is enduring a dreadful start to his managerial career in England. With his Fulham side already propping up the Premier League table, the Dutchman would’ve been hoping for some welcome relief from tonight’s home tie with Sheffield United. However, after a rather dour 90 minutes and another unimpressive 29 minutes of extra-time, it was Sheffield United who finally broke the deadlock, courtesy of Shaun Miller’s last-gasp header.

He may have been brought in to replace Martin Jol at Craven Cottage, but is there a chance that Meulensteen himself could get the sack before the end of the season?
