There’s a wonderful ebb and flow to todays rumours. Here’s the round up…

“Woo, yeah, alright! Let’s have a beef jerky on the sidewalk!”

Rumour No. 1: Everton are going to ask Los Angeles Galaxy really nicely if they may possibly keep Landon Donovan for a little while longer.

However, The Toffees are keen to maintain their good relationship with the MLS outfit and won’t pursue an extension if Galaxy aren’t willing to negotiate.

If a deal is not agreed upon then Donovan will return to the US after Everton’s game at Birmingham on Saturday.

Rumour No. 2: Quite literally

Rumour No. 2: Speaking of Birmingham, Brum boss Alex McLeish is plotting a summer raid for the striker who ended his FA Cup dream at the weekend, Lyon’s Frederic Piquionne, who is currently on loan at Portsmouth.

‘Big Eck’ apparently liked what he saw as he watched a brace of Piquionne goals dump his side out of the cup, and will now part with £3 million to bring the rangey striker to St. Andrews for the start of next season.

The Best of the Rest: Whilst we’re on the subject of Portsmouth loanees, Sunderland are ‘keeping tabs’ on Jamie O’Hara. The young midfielder is probably going to find himself surplus to requirements when he returns to parent club Tottenham in the summer and will be looking to move on.

Lokomotiv Moscow are to reignite their bid to sign Roman Pavlyuchenko from Spurs come the end of the season.

Fulham are tracking Shakhtar Donetsk’s 20-year-old centre back Yaroslav Rakytskyi.

Dutch giants PSV and Ajax are both interested in taking Miroslav Stoch off Chelsea’s hands. The young winger is currently impressing whilst on loan at FC Twente.
