Football GIF: Partially-Sighted Fulham Fan Offers Linesman His White Stick During Everton Defeat

By Chris Wright

In which a rather angry, partially-sighted Fulham fan (there’s a punchline in there somewhere) politely offers linesman Lee Probert the use of his white stick after flagging for a decision during Everton’s 1-3 victory at the Cottage yesterday afternoon…

Rather bizarrely, the Fulham fan was raging about an offside call that was 100% spot on so kudos to Probert, who took the goading in the right spirit – though, of course, he was hardly going to turn around and slap a blind man about the face with one of his duelling gauntlets, now was he?

Why was there a blind man at a football match?

doooooooouche. Plenty of blind and partially sighted supporters go to the football matches, often aided by superb hearing impaired commentary provided by specially trained commentators like Paul Sarahs

  3. Straight Dave says:

The linesman is Andy Garrett, not Lee Probert. Lee Probert is a referee.
