What a precious three points this could turn out to be for Premier League strugglers Fulham. All of the goals came in the last half-hour, with Kieran Richardson opening the scoring on 61 minutes. Grant Holt leveled things soon after before Lewis Holtby looked to have scored after rounding ‘keeper Brad Guzan, only for Matthew Lowton to just about clear the ball off his goal-line. But the goal did eventually come for the Cottagers, courtesy of a Hugo Rodallega header which keeps Felix Magath’s side’s hope of avoiding the drop alive.

Fulham now find themselves five points from safety, with the Villans seven points clear of danger.
