Tottenham Hotspur 3-1 Fulham – Premier League – 19th April 2014

Soccer - Barclays Premier League - Tottenham Hotspur v Fulham - White Hart Lane

Spurs registered a 3-1 win at home to Fulham in Saturday’s early game, a result which keeps Fulham in a perilous position in the league. Christian Eriksen set up Spurs’s first and last goals via superb free-kicks which were finished off by Paulinho (on 35 minutes) and Younes Kaboul (62 minutes). In between those strikes Steven Sidwell temporarily leveled the scores after an error from Ezekiel Fryers before Harry Kane but his side ahead again. Indeed, former Chelsea man Sidwell could have had a brace, only for Hugo Lloris to save his spot-kick.

Tottenham keep their hopes of a Europa League spot well and truly alive (they are  now three points behind Everton albeit having played a game more) while Felix Magath’s Whites remain two points away from safety.
