FULHAM are close to agreeing a one-year loan deal with Monaco for much-travelled striker Eidur Gudjohnsen, after the Icelandic international rejected a similar move to Stoke City over the weekend.
Stoke agreed a provisional deal with Monaco after agreeing to pay £1.5 million of Gudjohnsen’s hefty wage packet, but the former Tottenham, Barcelona and Chelsea forward has since performed one of his trademark eleventh-hour U-turns and chosen to negotiate with Mark Hughes‘ side.
