Fulham’s new kit has thumb holes

This season I will mostly not be wearing a football shirt with thumb holes. I repeat, thumb holes.

What the hell were the designers at French sports company Airness thinking when they put frickin’ thumb holes in the new Fulham kit? What possible purpose does a thumb hole serve, apart from making a laughing stock of your team? Luis Boa Morte looks confused and can you blame him? If this is indeed true and not an internet spoof, then Jimmy Greaves was right: football is ‘a funny old game’.
