I think Bolton’s Kevin Nolan needs to be on the list .. massively overlooked!

I’d agree with your list, butToure is not the best centre-back in the world (or the Premiership).
I think Ryan Giggs deserves a mention. Sure, he’s really well-known and was in the PFA Team Of The Season, but he was United’s second best player this year (behind Ronaldo).
People assume that because he’s 33, he may have lost it. But Giggs’ overall game is incredible. He’s lightning quick, a deadly set-piece specialist, an inspirational player and a top bloke as well.

have to disagree with hleb. I think he’s absolutely terrible. almost incapable of shooting unless he absolutely has to (porto), just really brings nothing to the table for me.
i would add to the list wayne bridge, for this season paul scholes, ashley young, dejan stefanovic and the two davis’ – villa’s steve and portsmouths sean.

Have to agree with the McBride comment. He is a very good old style centre forward who really is top notch. Players like Lua Lua would also fall into this list if they played more.

I’d agree with almost all of the list. Toure is not the best in the world or the prem. Arsenal usually have a reasonably good stand-in when players have left much to the credit of Arsene Wenger pretty much snapping up every promising youngster in France. I’d like to run Brian McBride up the flagpole for most underrated, he’s a great threat in the air and have scored some very important goals for Fulham in his time there.

i agree with most of the choices but where on eatrh is the main man Mo Sissoko… he covers more ground in a game than most the players up there do in a season.
