As wrong, wrong, wrong as it sounds, Fulham’s 2011/12 season begins later tonight with a Europa League qualifier against Faroe Island part-timers NSI Runavik – who have five of their first-string away on holiday at the moment and who’s XI tonight will consist of a teacher, a mortician and a trainee telephone salesman amongst others.

Unsurprisingly, Runavik are approximately 10,000/1 to cause an upset.

Here’s a few photos of the Cottagers dicking around under Martin Jol’s ravishing glare during an open training session yesterday afternoon…

I do care, and I dig it. It will be a sight to see, Sidwell, the Ginja Ninja in all white. Personally, I like the all black awawy kit a little more. Wait…..did I just make a Michael Jackson “it don’t matter if you’re black or white” reference? Chamone!

A handful of players will be working very hard in this game to show Jol that they’re worth keeping.
