Snapshot: The World’s Smallest Football League Table

By Chris Wright

What you’re looking at here is the league table for the Isles of Scilly League – the smallest registered football league (it’s affiliated with the FA) on the entire planet…

No draws! We hope, for the Woolpack Wanderers’ sake, that relegation isn’t going to be an issue come the end of the season.

Want to know a bit more about Garisson Gunners and/or Woolpack Wanderers? You can visit the league’s official website here. You’ll be astounded to learn that the two sides even compete in two, count ’em, two separate cup competitions against each other!

read about this in FourFourTwo a while back, they have a meeting in the pub before the start of the season and two captains take turns choosing players, then mid season i think they do transfers with beer as currency (i think)

  15. Patrick says:

Woolpack’s on a poor run now, but check out the past trophies!

    They’re Scilly’s Liverpool! Zing!

  16. Mark says:

Perhaps also the league with the highest percentage of team names spelt wrongly. Garrison, surely, not Garisson.
