‘I’d Vote Myself For The Ballon d’Or, To Be Humble Is Not Good’ – Guess Who?
By Chris Wright
Let’s start the morning with a little fun, shall we? There’s a bag of fresh satsumas in it for the first person to correctly identify just who is responsible for this batch of quotes, in which Player X displays a keen disregard for basic humility and admits that he’d definitely vote for himself to win the Ballon d’Or if the jobsworth pinkertons over at FIFA City Hall would let him:
“If I could I would for myself to win the Ballon d’Or. I am like I am and I am happy with that. To be humble is not good. In Portugal we say that to be too humble is vanity.”
Here’s a little hint to get you started…
Go on, have a guess. We double dare you.

Igor Biscan?
@C: Getting warm…
Surely its Mad Mario?
Tony Hibbert?
Definitely one of the big egos at Everton – probably one of Hibbert, Leon Osman and Leighton Baines
Bebe?
I was definitely going to say Ibrahimovic before you put up that great big picture of Emile Heskey.
Before the page loaded, I was sure it would be Ibra.
I mean, let’s face it, he’s probably got PSG to spend 4 hours on “Ibra Glorification” every week.
That’d be Bendtner, of course!
Garth Crooks?
You’re all getting so close…
Paul Scholes? Definitely sounds like something he’d say
Going by the title of the article, I was sure it was gonna be Zlatan.
GAZZA!!!
Jamie – I thought the same thing!
Since he’s talking about Portugal, surely must be Bosingwa.
By the way, hate to burst “Bosingwa’s” bubble, but no one in Portugal says that to be humble is vanity.
Roy Keane?
R9?
Just to add something: *That guy in the picture* actually said:
“I would vote for myself if I could, everyone would”. Yes, everyone would.
The next day Casillas said he wouldn’t vote for himself (although he is nominated) because of professional ethics. And that he’ll vote Ramos 1st and *that guy* only 2nd.
