*Bing bong* Could the owner of a white Vauxhall Astra estate please report to the front desk and can our fans please refrain from torching the hair of rival supporters? Thank you *Bing bong*

Oldham Athletic have released a club statement pleading with their fans – among other things – to stop using cigarette lighters to set fire to the hair of unsuspecting rivals fans, which is apparently a bit of a problem round Boundary Park way at the moment.

The Latics’ statement reads thus:

“Latics are warning fans that anti-social behaviour will not be tolerated at Boundary Park.

“We have recently had supporters ejected for such offences as bottle throwing and attempting to light people’s hair with cigarette lighters.

“This is totally unacceptable behaviour and cannot be tolerated. Greater Manchester Police have ‘spotters’ attending all games that are not policed and are aware of these incidents.”

It is thought that Oldham’s £10 U16 season ticket offer is partially to blame for attracting the offending troglodytes to the ground – so if you see a kid carrying a ciggy lighter and a can of Lynx Java into the stadium you hereby have Pies’ permission to perform a citizen’s arrest to help prevent scenes like this…
