Horror Hair: Seattle Sounders Peroxide Fiend DeAndre Yedlin Strikes Again!

By Chris Wright

This is how Seattle Sounders’ defender DeAndre Yedlin turned out for his side’s MLS game against Chivas USA last night. What could these mysterious peroxide hieroglyphs possibly mean?

MLS Chivas USA Sounders Soccer

Terrible. Someone’s been watching too much Paul Scharner.

Of course, being devout Horror Hair scholars here at Pies, we’ve been monitoring 20-year-old Yedlin’s credentials closely since he began landing regular spots in the Sounders’ first-team squad at the tail end of last season and the sheer amount of horrific follicular arrangements he has sported in those five or six short months has been utterly mind-boggling…

The force is definitely strong in this one. We predict big things.

His hair is magnificent, and it’s nice of you to put it all together in this tribute. That joker Scharner’s not in his league. I love watching him play, too; I hope we can hold onto him for a few years before he departs to a better league.

I see I have an impersonator at comment #5 above; that’s not me. I’m Fnarf, not that other guy.

  8. Franf says:

that is not horror hair. looks creative and neat.

  9. Wilson says:

At least he has hair, Rooney would kill for hair like that.

  10. Fnarf says:

    I hope you enjoyed your subway 2 for 1. I know I did…

  11. dasdafsaf says:

Why is he trying to look like Cristiano and Neymar?

His hair is awesome, what the hell are you talking about?

  13. [...] As the calendar turns to 2014, there are plenty of unknowns in J├╝rgen Klinsmann’s world. Lots of questions still be answered before the plan touches down in Brazil in just a few month’s time. It’s certainly been an eventual time for American soccer. No shortage of excitement, debate, narrative, players coming out of nowhere, promising signs for the future, head-scratching moments and, above all else, utterly fantastic hair. [...]
