Horror Hair: Philippe Mexes, Roma

Mexes.JPGThere is something wrong, almost contradictory, about an uncompromising centre-back with a girl’s haircut. The surftastic barnet of Roma’s Philippe Mexes is no exception. The Frenchman’s normally assured performances (although he horrendously lacked any sort of assurance last night) and sunkissed highlights have earned him the nickname Laurent Blond.
Anyway, as is his hair wasn’t humourous enough, here is a Mexes quote from after the first leg against Manchester United: “I’d say Lyon were a better side. Even if they weren’t in the best form of the season, they are a more quality side overall. Manchester United came here to score a goal and unfortunately scored it, but we will travel to England with great confidence and aggression.” [Rob Parker]

    The issue I’ve always had with the Truly Pretty Philippe is that he’s prettier than virtually all of the girls I know.
    Even so, he’s grown on me as a player. Or at least he had been growing on me until yesterday.

    I just stumbled upon this “great” piece of writing and boy I must say that Rob must be a really insecure overall person to focus his writing on Philippe’s hair instead of something intersting to all the people.
    Must suck to not be able to find a real journalist job huh Rob?
    As for Laurie, WOW you must really hang aroud really ugly girls buddy!

    Are you guys all jealous of him or are you all bald?
    Don’t you people have something better to do then comment on someone’s hair?
    Mexes has style, something all of you will never have! Not only does he have that, but he has game too! He’s a great player and a very good person!
    As for you guys…you’re just a bunch of losers wishing you were like him adored by others!
