Jeremy Menez endured a rather painful start to his career with Ligue 1 club Bordeaux, with the former AC Milan attacker losing part of his right ear after an horrific accident.
Menez made the move back to Ligue 1 from Milan at the start of August and made his debut for Bordeaux against Lorient on Wednesday.
However, the 29-year-old found himself on the wrong end of accidental clash with Didier Ndong, who stood on the ex-PSG forward’s head and inadvertently took a chunk out of his ear.
It ain’t pretty!…
After the game, Lorient released a statement saying that Menez would require surgery. While Ndong also expressed his regret at the (accidental) incident, saying: “‘I offer my apologies to Jeremy Menez and Bordeaux.”
Not the best way to start your career at a new club!
