Mucho congratulatorios to 18-year-old Southampton left-back Luke Shaw, who has played his way into Roy Hodgson’s 30-man squad for England’s friendly game against Denmark at Wembley next Wednesday.

Along with Rickie Lambert, Jay Rodriguez and Adam Lallana, Shaw’s inclusion ensures Hodgson will have a quartet of Saints to pick from. Impressive stuff.

There are also re-calls for Cardiff City centre-half Steven Caulker and Raheem Sterling, such is his fizzy form for Liverpool at the moment.
