Argentina tonked Venezuela 4-1 on Saturday evening to go marching into the semi-finals of the Copa America, though you could be fooled into thinking otherwise if you only had their dressing room ‘victory photo’ to go on.

Sat twiddling away on their phones, Lionel Messi (whose goal saw him move level with Gabriel Batistuta as Argentina’s all-time record goalscorer), Sergio Aguero and the rest of the chaps looked more like a gang of mopy teenagers sat at a bus stop…

How depressing. They could at least have thrown a bit of Gatorade about the place.

Couldn’t agree more! In such a short span of time one device has completely changed how many humans behave, interact, and live. It’s fucking depressing.

Also a total leveller – grannies, teens, and the best footballers in the world are now more interested in a piece of plastic in their hands than experiencing daily life.
