To cap a recovery that has been nothing short of miraculous, Seamus Coleman has been called up to the Republic of Ireland squad for the first time since suffering a double leg break on international duty less than a year ago.
The Everton full-back sustained the gruesome injury after being nobbled by Neil Taylor during a game against Wales on 25th March, 2017. The break was so bad that Ireland teammate Shane Long had to administer calming pregnancy breathing techniques as Coleman began to go into shock.
Now, just 348 days later after that dreadful day at the Aviva Stadium, Coleman has been included in the latest Ireland squad to face Turkey…

Coleman actually made his return to first-team football in January when he started for Everton in their 2-1 win over Leicester City at Goodison, just 312 days after his injury.
Here’s wishing him the best of luck.
Break a le… oh, never mind.
