While the rest of us were mowing the dog and taking the lawn out for a walk, John Terry spent his Sunday criss-crossing the continent before taking in Spartak Moscow’s Russian Premier League game against Rostov.
In a brazen display of ruthlessly efficient airport decorum, the former Chelsea captain was in Paris to watch Europe triumph at the Ryder Cup on Sunday afternoon before being spotted mingling with Spartak fans outside the Otkrytiye Arena just a few hours later.

As you may recall, Terry, who is currently without a club after leaving Aston Villa at the end of last season, declined the chance to sign for the Krasno-Belye a week or so ago with a polite statement issued over Instagram.
We can only assume that he was invited to the game (which Spartak lost 1-0) as a VIP guest, but we are slightly surprised not to see him sporting full Spartak kit and shinpads – y’know, just in case…
