The 360 controller is perfectly suited to pro evo. The original xbox one was dreadful, granted, but on the 360 one the buttons are all where they should be, and it is very comfortable to use. The sony dualshock is guaranteed to make your thumbs sore after a few hours play. I still play PE5 instead of PE6, which was awful. I played the demo for PE2008 and it’s a big improvement, but there is still a problem when dribbling past the opponents defenders, somethings not quite right with it.

i wouldn’t sell your xbox on ebay. you can’t delete your xbox live info off of it.

The PS3 has no games other than PES 2008, whereas the 360 has a bucket load of quite good ones. You can still play Halo 2 on it even if you do Ebay your original Xbox, and remember that for things like online play, Microsoft has a substancially better internet service and a much higher number of users for finding games to play with people.
And that all comes from a Nintendo fan!

Fifa is for kids, pro evo for grown-ups, it’s as simple as that. As for which console you should get, its got to be the 360. I know its made by that pesky Mr Gates, but the ammount of good games and a lower price tag for a very similar machine have to be main factors here. It is quite loud, and the ps3 is more stylish, but in all honesty how often do you look at the console? And if you play it with a HD screen it is very hard to tell which has the better graphics. I’d go for the elite (black) 360 with the bigger hard drive.

Fifa ain’t THAT much worse. OK, the gameplay is pretty basic but it does feel a lot more real to tackle Man U or Arsenal with Fulham than with ‘West London Whites’. Also, and I know this is irrelevant, FIFA has an awesome soundtrack.

The reason pro evo sucked so much on 360 last year is because it was designed by a different team to the Ps2/PC version. It was subcontracted to another design firm and then published by konami due to the PS2 version being well into production when the 360 version was announced. Because it is impossible to port a PS2 game to 360 it had to made from scratch, and isn’t a true pro evo game, just a cheap copy.
This year however, the original PRo Evo team had designed the game on PC and will be ported to all consoles to give all versions of the game the same gameplay exactly. So don’t worry about buying one version over another. I played the 360 demo on Marketplace this week and it’s a definate improvement and apparently that demo is 2-3 months old and was the one originally shown at it’s earliest demos. From what I read the newer demos are cleaner and less glitched, hopefully when October 28th comes round it’ll be worth the wait.

I hated the 360 version. The controller is built for shooting things like in the amazing Bioshock, not for shooting things like the amazing Frank Lampard. I downloaded the demo of 2008 last night and it’s certainly better but still “wrong” on the 360. Added to the fact every time you touch the ball, it makes a massively irritating “put” noise. So you’re the Portuguese Winker dribbling down the ball and every touch, you’re going “put…put…put”. Really annoying! This version is only 75% finished apparently, so hopefully good things come October 28th.
