Newcastle’s yellow away kit for 09/10 is perfect for cowards

I didn’t think Newcastle Utd could do anything more to shore up their status as the biggest laughing stock in British football, but then I didn’t count on their new away kit, which is frankly hilarious/eye-burningly vile. Two shades of yellow? Mmmm, delicious.
Someone at Adidas obviously has a wicked sense of humour, especially given how many Newcastle players played like yellow-bellied cowards last season.

In a chilling twist, it looks like both Habib Beye and Steven Taylor (the models for the new kit) could leave the club this summer. God bless you Newcastle.

    Wow. That’s hideous.

it is an awful strip but beye and taylor wont be leaving.

    Earwax strip. Load of shit.

At least they wont be able to hide on the pitch.

  5. mac says:

this just underlines what i’ve been saying all along, they all look like a bunch of c*nts. now they got the uniform to justify the title.

  6. mrp says:

I think the tops are either love them or hate them (mostly hate). I think they are pretty good – but they should have gone with either navy or black shorts to break up all that yellow

  7. Dreamer says:

When Newcastle contest the Champions League final against Juventus in 3 years times (and win) in these colours, then what will you say?

  11. Joe says:

Whoa, and I thought the Spurs kit was wee-coloured…

  12. Jack says:

I don’t think it’s that bad to be honest.
It’s a football kit, if your more bothered about the colour of the kit, than football itself, go kill yourself.

  13. dave says:

it may not be the best looking strip, but bright colours signify confidence and that is what our team is lacking

  14. matty says:

I like Taylor, his relationship with his job is just like mine with ex-girlfriends – anger, a sensation of wasting time, and some hope of change.

  15. Andy says:

I agree with mac, the top is actually VERY nice, but with the yellow shorts it looks hideous. Wear the home shorts with it, PLEASE!

  16. macenzie spensley says:

ive jus got it 4 me birthday n i really like it, i suite it 2, looking good x

  17. Eamo says:

It could grow on me depending on results, it would be ok if they had done it plain yellow like we’ve had before. All yellow is cool if it’s done right (Leeds classic away early 70′s for example). The 3rd strip “Inter Milan” style is even worse imo). Newcastle United should never use striped away kits, Black & White Forever.
