VfL Bochum’s new ‘smudged’ kit is mental
Look at this piece of insania! It’s krazy with a k. It’s the work of a funky German company called Do You Football. That doesn’t even make sense.
So this is what happens when Germans think outside the box. The smudges are some sort of reference to Bochum’s industrial heritage, I believe. Bochum was a big mining town, and I guess the new kit taps into that nicely.
I like its pure mentalism, but if I was a Bochum fan, I’m not sure I’d feel the same way. Your thoughts?

Wow, that’s a unique kit! I think the last kit in a similar vein was that horrid Norwich “bird shit” kit. Having said that I actually don’t mind this one!
This would go well with the “Derelict” collection from Zoolander
I actually think those are pretty great! They also seem to go well with Bochum’s “dirty” autograph cards (http://www.vfl-bochum.de/kickit/upload/team/09_10/auto/stanislav_sestak_auto.jpg).
That said, I think the new Kaiserslautern kits by the same company are pretty much as bad as it gets.
That Bochum kit looks like a smurf’s just wiped his arse with it.
As a Bochum fan, I totally agree. Although, had they used all this design (smudges, confusing stripes, stripes at allm etc) in about 3 or 4 kits, I probably would have loved each one of them.
