West Ham’s new home kit for 09/10 is the Daddy
Rather than hire a sexy beauty queen to show off your new kit (as Linfield did), West Ham Utd turned to celeb fan Ray Winstone (aka Ray, 52, from Essex) to show off its new Umbro home kit (that or Matty Upson really piled on the pounds)…
Ray told WHTV: “This is beautiful, it is claret and blue, what else do you want?”
Fair enough – and who’s going to disagree with him? Not me. Even without Ray staring at me, I think Umbro has done a decent job with the kit, but it’s not as smart as some other new Umbro kits.
The kit is available on 30 July, but you can pre-order it from West Ham’s online store.

Horrible, actually emailed strong criticism to Green St. Told them it has cost them 2 shirt sales, wouldnt be seen dead with it!
I like it, but would prefer light blue sleeves.
The kit has to have blue sleeves and claret body.Kit designers have forgotten this in the past and produced kits that just aren’t West Ham.
Best kit in years, reminds me of the 89 kit.
The away kit is horrible, their should only ever be one style of away kit, sky blue with two claret strips…
Forest have the same design for their 09/10 away kit and it’s horrendous. It seems it’s ‘92 all over again.
I like it. I like claret shirt with blue lines rather then blue sleeves.

i didn’t favor the shirt but i love the model. hail ya Ray.. hahaha..
only an american would like this shirt because it’s over the top, to me, it’s a minger. We like understated and classy looking. something in the style of the training tops but claret with blue sleeves as is the tradition. right away, 50% plus of shirt sales is out of the window, no one will want this top and those who buy it will be slated and laughed at.

It’s fucking awful….. one of the worst shirts we’ve had and the last few (since ‘03-’04) have been horrible.
