Nike have just launched the new One and Twos that Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and…err…Theo Walcott will be wearing to work as of very soon – the new ‘mango’ colourway of the Mercurial Vapor 8 boot.

We gots photos…

According to this ‘ere tech sheet, the new boots are made from Teijin® Microfiber which has a soft, suede-like finish to improve your first touch and eliminate the need for them to be ‘broken in’.

Whether the Vapor 8’s suede-y-ness also means that you can’t wear them in the rain remains to be seen, though you’d have to suggest that that would be somewhat of a massive oversight on Nike’s part if not…

What are we saying Pies fans? Yay or nay?

I don’t get why anyone gets excited for these plastic things. It’s not like Nike can design some sort of a football boot that will make us all Premiership footballers. It’s a boot; sure they have come a long way since 1954 but they’re just boots made of plastic with vibrant colours to make some idiot who’s full of shit in your Sunday league buy them.

I actually kind of agree with mr. sparkle , theres always some guy with pink mercs…until you see hes actually good and has earned the right to wear em haha, while I don’t agree on paying 200+ for football boots , its still a nice looking boot

I love the fact that they make a point of sharper blades, which just means when someone else with those blades step on your foot, you end up with a broken foot or toe.

This has happened to 2 QPR players this season that I know about and yes, they do make you look a dick and single you out for a kicking.

Srsly tho – are those not baseball spikes??

Look nice, but I’m a little dubious about the switch to just two heel studs. I wear Vapor VIs and I’d be worried about slipping on my ass if I had to give up a pair of heel studs.

They look alot like track & field spikes, less blades, strange it took them 8 tries to figure that out.
