Man City Reveal Slick New European Away Kit For 2012/13′s Continental Excursions (Photos)

To be worn for their Champions League away games and ‘selected Premier League fixtures’, here’s Man City’s rinky dinky new carbon grey European away/third shirt for 2012/13 – available for pre-order from City’s official store as of this morning…
Here’s a bit of key design info…
“The black colourway is inspired by kits worn by St. Mark’s (West Gorton) in the 1880s and nods to the night-time matches usually played in the Champions League.
“The neckline is inspired by an iconic Umbro Drill Top – a classic ribbed crew neck with a v-insert, which helps with fit and movement.
“The shirt is teamed with black shorts with the Umbro double diamond and club crest embroidered in vista blue. Black socks with a vista blue cuff and black hoops complete the kit.”
God damn you Umbro. We love it, indeed, this one seems to be getting a lot of love from all over the shop.

I love Chelsea’s simple blue and gold home but the away and third are shocking and seeing things like this really makes me pine for the old Umbro days, boy they can make a sleek and stylish football kit!

Totally agree, mate. Last Blues shirt I bought was the centenary kit, the last Umbro produced for Chelsea. That was a beaut, wish they still had a contract with them…
As a LFC fan, Warrior (the current designer of the Liverpool kit, alas) could learn a thing or two from Umbro. The Liverpool third kit is shockingly bad.
