Football Fashion: Man City to sell Roberto Mancini designer scarf
By Ollie Irish

Crafty work by Man City’s merchandise department, which has rebranded a traditional stripy scarf as ‘Roberto Mancini’s designer Italian bar scarf’. Which means the club can charge £8 for it, rather than a fiver. Opportunism ahoy!
Pre-order it from City’s online shop here, but be warned that wearing it won’t suddenly turn you into a silver charmer like Mancini, nor a top-class football manager.

yeah.. I am going to knit one myself. US fans I’ll make you one for 20 bux. Cheaper than the 45 that it’ll cost to get it from the club shop :P
I bought two at the end of last year. There were pile-high clearance bins by the checkouts, sealed, for omly £3. Also 40,000 fans were given one as a gift a couple of derby days back! Basically, every true fan has one, either free, or three quid. Don’t get mugged.
i love “every true fan”. Even city fans are getting defensive about their fandom now?
Jesus. We’ll be sounding more like Stretford fans than City soon enough.

[...] More on Rafa and Liverpool’s shock FA Cup defeat by Reading later. For now, Liverpool fans can forget the pain by staring lovingly at these pics of new recruit Maxi Rodriguez being paraded at Anfield last night. (Can’t wait to buy the ‘Maxi stripy scarf’ from Liverpool’s club shop, a la Mancini) [...]
[...] I especially like the collar detailing – on the inside you may notice a mini striped scarf motif, no doubt added as a nod to scarf-obsessed gaffer Roberto Mancini. [...]
