Snapshot: Lionel Messi Sends Signed Shirt To Gerd Muller After Busting His Goal Record
By Chris Wright
We’re a day or so slow on the uptake here, but here’s an image of the specially-signed shirt that Lionel Messi sent to Gerd Muller earlier in the week to say sorry for besting his ‘goals in a calendar year’ last año…

Translation: “Dear Gerd, AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAA!!!!”
Nah, what it actually says is “With my respect and admiration,” which is altogether inkeeping of the man’s character. Good egg, this Messi lad.
While we’re on the subject, anyone want a cheeky glimpse at Messi’s trophy cabinet as posted to his Facebook wall today? Step this way please…

@Matt: Oops! Crucial accent left off the ‘N’ there!
Still took a dive against Del Horno, dirty little cheat. Never scored against Chelsea.
I pity the fool who had to polish that
@matt hahahahahahahahaha
You left off what looks like “un abrazo” which would be “a hug”, if my español sudamericano is not too rusty. How sensitive.
He’d have made a good doctor, judging by that scribbling.
Just kidding of course, that was a very decent gesture by a true gentleman.
