Touching Moment As Juventus & Celtic Fan Swap Scarves Over Stadium Wall (Video)

By Chris Wright

There were touching scenes during the first leg of Celtic’s Champions League last 16 tie against Juventus at Parkhead a fortnight ago when both sets of supporters began hurling – not bananas, or pint glasses, or Olympic-issue javelins – but their scarves over the line of fluorescent stewards strategically placed between them in a show of mutual sporting solidarity.

The Scarf Exchange continued last night as Juve polished off the Bhoys in Turin, when a couple of fans made a pact via eye-contact and hand gestures then proceeded to toss their respective scarves over the plaggy dividing wall at the Juventus Stadium, place a hand on the ‘glass’, shared a moment then go their separate ways…

Like ships in the night. How lovely.
